The Garden's Blooming and The Bees Are Buzzing!

We have had some gorgeous sunny days as well as some much needed rain. We still need 10-11 inches of rain just to get out of the drought. But we can't complain we've been getting a lot of showers which are great for the garden. Bobby has most of our garden planted. Let me see if I can remember what's in it: Corn, green beans, yellow squash, zuccini squash, spinach, mixed greens, tomatoes, hot peppers, green peppers, potatoes......hmm....I'm sure I'm missing something. The corn came up within 3 days of planting it! I couldn't believe it! Bobby's worked hard on it and even took Connor out there with him. He used a baby sling carrier to carry him around while he used the hoe in the garden! haha
On Saturday, Bobby found a swarm of honeybees in the backyard. There was a ball of them about the size of a basketball in the honeysuckle on our fence. Our preacher manages his own beehives so we called him and he said he wanted to try to "catch" them. He came over Friday night along with 2 other men from the church. I watched from a window! haha He managed to collect the queen into this special box and all the bees followed. It was pretty interesting. It definitely got Bobby's interest and now he's hoping to get some honeybees next year and we can sell TaterHill Honey!

And of course we can't have a blog post without some new photos of Connor! :)
