TaterHill Update

Well, it's hard to believe but Connor will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! So much is going on here at TaterHill...there's babies everywhere! Let me try to give you an update.

First of all, many people said that I wouldn't be able to take care of the animals after Connor was born....well, guess what! I figured out a way and I'm already doing it. My doc cleared me on Monday to carry about 20 pounds. The Lord blessed me with a good baby that loves to sleep. So during his naps, I head outside to feed the critters. Bobby had the clever idea of hooking up the wagon to our riding mower and then I use that to haul hay and water down to the goats and sheep. It makes it much quicker and so much easier. Plus, I'm not having to carry buckets of water a far distance. So...so far so good!
Here's an update for the different critters:
Dogs: Mollie's puppies are growing and will be 5 weeks old on Wednesday. They are the cutest little things. We still have one available to sell. The other 2 are going to local families. No trips to the airport this time. Montana and Rissa are due at the end of this month or very beginning of June depending on which mating they conceived. Both are starting to get their bellies so I'm thinking they are both pregnant. Maddie (my shih tzu), Gretta, and Cheyenne are adjusting to the baby in the house. Maddie has been a complete brat and getting into trouble since I came home. She likes Connor though. You should see her tail wag when she's close to him. Cheyenne and Gretta check him out a little bit but don't really seem to be bothered by his presence.
Kittens: The kittens will be 5 weeks this old also. They have all found homes to go to when they are 8 weeks old. They are still living in the house with us. We have a baby gate up to keep them in the hallway/bathroom area. So far it's working because they can't climb very high.
Rabbits: Bobby has pretty much taken over the rabbit habit for now. He could give a better update then me but I know that we have several litters of babies including mini lops, netherland dwarfs, and lionheads. We are hoping to get Connor to a rabbit show with us soon but with these gas prices, I'm not sure it's worth it!
Goats: Our baby goat, Spud, left for his new home on Saturday. I believe they are naming him Buddy. From what I hear, he is settling in well and loves to play with the children in his new family! We have 2 goats that should be having babies in the fall.
Us: Here's what's been going on with us. My mom has been here for the past 3 weeks. My dad came down on Wednesday. They left this morning at 4am. It was a HUGE help to have my mom and dad here. My mom scrubbed the house from top to bottom...it needed it bad with me being on bedrest, then hospitalized, and then having the c-section. They laid new carpet in the living room for us and also bought us a used couch and matching chair. My living room doesn't look the same at all! Today, Bobby is with the National Guard and I'm home here with Connor. This is my first official day of being a mom by myself! So far I'm surviving!!
